Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FURIN Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FURIN data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher FURIN Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FURIN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
CESC, KIRP, and PRAD are the cancer types where FURIN Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
