Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FOLH1B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FOLH1B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where FOLH1B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FOLH1B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRP, KIRC, and LIHC are the cancer types where FOLH1B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
