Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FMR1-IT1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FMR1-IT1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher FMR1-IT1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FMR1-IT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and SKCM show a favorable association.

KIRC, UCEC, and READ are the cancer types where FMR1-IT1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
