Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FGF1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FGF1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher FGF1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FGF1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, STAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where FGF1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
