Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FDXR RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FDXR’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where FDXR RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FDXR is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and PRAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, KIRP, and COAD are the cancer types where FDXR tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
