Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FCGR2A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FCGR2A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where FCGR2A RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FCGR2A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, HNSC, and THCA are the cancer types where FCGR2A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
