Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FBLL1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FBLL1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where FBLL1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FBLL1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as STAD and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, LUSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where FBLL1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
