Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FASLG RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FASLG data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher FASLG RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FASLG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, UCEC, and HNSC are the cancer types where FASLG RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
