Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM86EP Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM86EP data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher FAM86EP Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM86EP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC and UCEC are the cancer types where FAM86EP Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
