Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM71E2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FAM71E2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where FAM71E2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FAM71E2 is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC, BRCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where FAM71E2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
