Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM43A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM43A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher FAM43A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM43A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD show a favorable association.
UCEC and COAD are the cancer types where FAM43A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
