Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM217B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM217B data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher FAM217B mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM217B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM are the cancer types where FAM217B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
