Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM181A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM181A data layer compared with 15 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher FAM181A mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM181A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM are the cancer types where FAM181A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
