Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM13A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM13A data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher FAM13A mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM13A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and UCEC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, LUAD, and PDAC are the cancer types where FAM13A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
