Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM138C RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FAM138C data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher FAM138C RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM138C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS show a favorable association.
COAD, ACC, and LUSC are the cancer types where FAM138C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
