Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM138B RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FAM138B data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher FAM138B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM138B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and KIRP show a favorable association.
COAD, ACC, and MESO are the cancer types where FAM138B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
