Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM117A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM117A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher FAM117A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM117A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
CESC, STAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where FAM117A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
