Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM102A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM102A data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher FAM102A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM102A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, DLBC, and STAD are the cancer types where FAM102A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
