The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher FABP4 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FABP4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and HNSC show a favorable association.
LSCC, CCRCC, and COAD are the cancer types where FABP4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
