Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, F13B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of F13B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where F13B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types F13B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, CHOL, and UCEC are the cancer types where F13B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
