Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EXOSC5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EXOSC5 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher EXOSC5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EXOSC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SCLC and PRAD are the cancer types where EXOSC5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
