Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ERVV-2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ERVV-2 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher ERVV-2 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ERVV-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and KIRP show a favorable association.

KIRC, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where ERVV-2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
