Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ERG mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ERG data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher ERG mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ERG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and HNSC show a favorable association.

LUAD, CCRCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where ERG mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
