Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EPCAM mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EPCAM data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher EPCAM mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EPCAM expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and LSCC show a favorable association.

LUAD, PDAC, and LSCC are the cancer types where EPCAM mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
