Across TCGA cell cohorts, EPCAM RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 4,744 significant associations in total. OVARY shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible EPCAM-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Desmosome maintenance, Bundle of His cell-Purkinje myocyte adhesion involved in cell communication, and Regulation of white fat cell proliferation. Each is linked with EPCAM in more than 12 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both EPCAM-to-partner and partner-to-EPCAM results are reported.
