Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EPB42 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated EPB42 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher EPB42 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EPB42 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and BRCA show a favorable association.

SCLC, STAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where EPB42 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
