Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF2S3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF2S3 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher EIF2S3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF2S3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and HNSC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, GBM, and HNSC are the cancer types where EIF2S3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
