Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF2D Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF2D data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher EIF2D Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF2D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC are the cancer types where EIF2D Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
