Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ECD Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ECD data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher ECD Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ECD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRP, LUSC, and COAD are the cancer types where ECD Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
