Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DSCAS RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated DSCAS data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher DSCAS RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DSCAS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and PAAD show a favorable association.
UVM, PAAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where DSCAS RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
