Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DLG2-AS2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of DLG2-AS2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where DLG2-AS2 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types DLG2-AS2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRP, and KIRC are the cancer types where DLG2-AS2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
