DKK4

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DKK4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of DKK4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where DKK4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types DKK4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as HNSC and STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, HNSC, and STAD are the cancer types where DKK4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
