Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DIS3L RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated DIS3L data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher DIS3L RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DIS3L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and OV show a favorable association.

KIRC, OV, and SKCM are the cancer types where DIS3L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
