Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DENND4C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of DENND4C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where DENND4C RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types DENND4C is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, UCEC, and THCA are the cancer types where DENND4C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
