Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DEFA7P RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated DEFA7P data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher DEFA7P RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DEFA7P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

BLCA, READ, and SKCM are the cancer types where DEFA7P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
