Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DEFA6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DEFA6 data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher DEFA6 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DEFA6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD and LUSC are the cancer types where DEFA6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
