Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DDX53 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DDX53 data layer compared with 14 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher DDX53 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DDX53 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, GBM, and ACC are the cancer types where DDX53 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
