Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DDX3X RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated DDX3X data layer compared with 9 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher DDX3X RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DDX3X expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SCLC show a favorable association.

KIRC, SCLC, and LGG are the cancer types where DDX3X RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
