Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DCST1-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated DCST1-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher DCST1-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DCST1-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and HNSC show a favorable association.

KIRC, KICH, and UCEC are the cancer types where DCST1-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
