Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYP7A1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CYP7A1 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher CYP7A1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CYP7A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and ESCA show a favorable association.

MESO, ESCA, and ACC are the cancer types where CYP7A1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
