Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYP39A1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CYP39A1 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher CYP39A1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CYP39A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UVM show a favorable association.

KIRC, LGG, and UVM are the cancer types where CYP39A1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
