Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYCSP39 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CYCSP39’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where CYCSP39 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CYCSP39 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, THCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where CYCSP39 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
