Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYB561D1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CYB561D1 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher CYB561D1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CYB561D1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and PAAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, KICH, and ACC are the cancer types where CYB561D1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
