Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CTAG1A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CTAG1A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where CTAG1A RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CTAG1A is over-expressed in tumor.
LIHC are the cancer types where CTAG1A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
