Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CRYM RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CRYM data layer compared with 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher CRYM RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CRYM expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and ACC show a favorable association.
KIRC, UVM, and THCA are the cancer types where CRYM RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
