Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CROCCP4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CROCCP4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where CROCCP4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CROCCP4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as UCEC and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LIHC, LUAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where CROCCP4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
