Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COX7C mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated COX7C data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher COX7C mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated COX7C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and CCRCC show a favorable association.

LSCC, CCRCC, and GBM are the cancer types where COX7C mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
