Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COMT Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated COMT data layer compared with 30 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher COMT Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated COMT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
STAD and BLCA are the cancer types where COMT Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
