Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COCH RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of COCH’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where COCH RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types COCH is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, KIRC, and THCA are the cancer types where COCH tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
