Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CMTM5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CMTM5 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher CMTM5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CMTM5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where CMTM5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
